We believe that young people and the communities in which they live should have opportunities to learn, to live and to work, so our programmes and support are all completely focused on helping this to happen. We also believe that we cannot achieve the best results without involving local people and communities. Does this sound interesting? Would you like to be involved?

We cannot do this without you! Come and join us. At The FAR Academy, we recognise that there are lots of different reasons why people choose to volunteer their time. In fact, we take great pride in making sure that each volunteer journey is tailored to individual needs: be it skills building, student placement, giving back to the community or sharing the skills you already have.

Are you retired with energy to spare? Would you like to bring your skills to our Volunteer Team and build on the success you’ve already had in employment?

Do you have or would you like to gain experience working with vulnerable young people? There are a variety of roles available within our Learning Difficulties and Disabilities and Programmes Teams.

Does your community have a voice when it comes to supporting young people? Do you want to be that voice?

Are you looking for a challenge? How do you fancy helping a young person to change their life?

Could you turn your life experiences into a positive outcome for a young person? Could you be a Mentor?

Are you retired and looking for a way to still tap into all those skills and networks that you have?
