Photography NCFE Level 1
This qualification enables you to explore and develop a basic understanding of photographic processes and basic photography skills.
You will understand how to use a camera correctly and safely to take photographs; and also be able to review the quality of your final images. During the course you will also be learning the legal and ethical considerations relating to photography.
This engaging qualification supports your progression into further learning in photography or other creative subject areas; to complement other qualifications within apprenticeship frameworks in the creative sector.
Photography NCFE Level 2
This QCF qualification is aimed at individuals wishing to develop an understanding of photographic processes and the photo imaging industry. The qualification allows learners to understand and develop skills enabling them to take and manipulate images using a range of equipment, techniques and image processing software.
The objectives of this qualification are to support learners to progress into employment in the industry or onto further qualifications at Level 3 in creative subjects including photography, art and design, craft, animation and moving image production.
Art and Design NCFE Level 2
Explore ideas, techniques and use of visual language in a chosen art and design medium. Develop your knowledge and understanding of the design process and apply this to an art project. This qualification also provides you with the opportunity for personal development and a basis for further study.
Learn how to use raw materials, tools, and equipment competently; research and experiment with techniques, materials, and tools to develop ideas for experimental pieces; you’ll develop your ideas, produce, and evaluate a finished product.
This qualification is ideal for you to develop your understanding of art and design concepts and materials.
Graphic Design NCFE Technical award Level 2
This qualification focuses on an applied study of the graphic design sector and learners will gain a broad understanding and knowledge of working in the sector. Appropriate for learners who are looking to develop a significant core of knowledge and understanding in graphic design, and an understanding of how to apply their learning to the graphic design sector.
This qualification shows learners how to:
Identify and experiment with graphic design components
Explore graphic designers, their work and working in the industry
Work to graphic design briefs, refining and selecting ideas
Form a graphic design portfolio and explore creative direction.
PSHE, NCFE Award in Personal and Social Development Level 1
The purpose of this qualification is to enable learners to operate independently and effectively in life, learning and work. It will help them to recognise a range of personal and social skills, and will encourage and support you to develop.
Developing personal and social skills will complement learning in other areas, like vocational learning or functional skills. The qualification aims to develop and formally recognise learners' personal and social skills, to build on achievements and to make them appropriate and meaningful.
Functional Skills English NCFE Entry 1,2,3
Functional Skills qualifications in English at Entry Level 1,2,3 are ideal for learners wishing to develop practical, transferable skills in English in order to work confidently, effectively and independently in life. It is suitable for a wide range of individuals and is fundamental to the successful completion of various wider qualifications and frameworks, such as Foundation Learning.

It builds and extends on existing skills and knowledge, and through investigating creative enterprise and employment opportunities, it enables you to prepare for progression into further learning or employment within the creative arts sector.
This qualification will also provide you with recognition for your enterprise skills and attributes. Developing an understanding of health and safety issues and the ability to work safely, which is essential for further learning or employment in the creative sector.
Business Enterprise NCFE Technical award Level 1/2
It is designed for learners who want an introduction to business and enterprise that includes a vocational and project-based element. The qualification will appeal to learners who wish to pursue a career in the business and enterprise sector or progress onto further study.
